St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Its mission is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of its founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
Humane Society of Westchester at New Rochelle
The Humane Society of Westchester, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the human/animal bond through the compassionate care and treatment of animals throughout the communities it serves in Westchester County and beyond. Its goal is to create a living environment that is not just a shelter, but a transitional home for stray, lost, abandoned, injured, and abused animals, until they can ultimately be placed in loving permanent homes. Through promotion of successful pet adoption, animal population control, and public education of animal welfare issues, it promotes the belief that pet ownership is a lifetime commitment
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is committed to honoring the nation’s first responders and military heroes. Twenty years after 9/11, the foundation spoke with survivors of that fateful day and shared their never-before-told stories, so that no one will ever forget. The foundation has raised 250 million in support of the nation’s greatest heroes and their families. These funds enable the Foundation to continue its mission to “do good,” by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children and by building custom-designed smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
