When the credit card device can't communicate with your computer, you will receive an error message.
Note: This connection test is performed each time you enter into the Ring Sales screen and you will only be alerted if there is an error.
STEP 1 - On the physical credit card device, with your finger, please touch the area in the upper left corner, as indicated to the left.
This will display the IP address of the device
Also pictured to the left.
STEP 2 - Click the 'Edit' button on your computer to manually enter these values from above, then click 'Update'
When you click update the system will automatically re-initialize your device. If a connection still can't be made you will be given further options.
NOTE: If the IP address on your credit card device is all 0's then :
1) Reboot the credit card device by holding down the key on the bottom left corner (it has the international power symbol) for three seconds. This action will reboot the device.
2) Exit Lightning's Ring Sales screen.
3) When the credit card device states 'POS Online' then click 'Ring Sales' in Lightning.
